A right-handed batsman who can bowl some clever medium-pace, Terrance Hinds is a young cricketer from Trinidad who has risen through the ranks and impressed with his first-class performances to make it into the Trinbago Knight Riders squad in 2017 as a replacement, and was retained for the 2018 season by the franchise to make his debut for them.
“I am feeling excited coming into a big tournament like this because everybody would be watching. I am looking forward to playing with Narine, Javon Searles and Kevon Cooper. Since CPL started it was one of my goals to represent TT in the CPL so this is like a dream come true for me. CPL is just excitement, as they say it is the biggest party in sport - enjoy yourself and travel the Caribbean,” said Hinds about his prospects and excitement about playing in the Caribbean Premier League.
Having been a part of the bench for the Knight Riders over two victorious seasons, he has found it difficult to make it into the playing XI. However, Hinds has learned a lot being a part of the victorious dressing room and takes it as a stepping stone to entering the national set-up. By his own admission, the Knight Riders side is too strong to break into, but he seems prepared to ease into the set up in his climb towards the highest level of cricket.
